DR, HARRY KAKAMOUKAS
Received his Diploma as Shipbuilding Foreman and served as a seagoing engineer in the Royal Hellenic Navy.
Received his B.Sc. degree with Honours in Naval Architecture and
Shipbuilding Management from the University of Newcastle, England, and his Doctoral degree in Shipping Techno Economics from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland.
Has been a lecturer at the National Maritime College, a senior lecturer in Industrial Management in the University of Thessaloniki, and a senior lecturer in Business Organisation at the British Institute of Marketing.
Has been engaged in consulting / surveying since 1974 and is an acting consultant / surveyor to various P&I clubs, underwriters, classification societies, international trading concerns etc.

Charis studied Shipping, Trade and Transport at the University of Aegean, Chios, where he obtained his Master’s degree.
After gaining experience working for at the operations department for shipowners in Greece Charis spent twelve (12) years atan international correspondency firm acting both as a claims handler and a surveyor.
As surveyor, Charis had attended various high profile casualties in Greek and Turkish waters being at the forefront for P&I and H&M insurers.
In his capacity as claims handler, Charis had dealt with all types of P&I claims including of collisions, groundings, complex cargo cases and pollution incidents.
Prior to joining Thesmarine, Charis was heading the Turkish P&I team, gaining vast experience as a correspondent in Turkey and Greece as well.
